Love at first sight!
My "mistress"... I find on the web this sailing vessel beginning of febuary 2009 - I had visited this sailboat I believe in 2001 or 2002.
I write, exchange with the owner, and the basis of a deal are set. Visit on saturday, formal offer on sunday, deal accepted on monday, survey week after (while freezing our toes off, serious, it was -25C, and no heating in the sailboat), final details are setup... AND "voilà", since march 20th, 2009, I'am a very excited owner/skipper of renamed to "Alma Guapa" (from Valéo), spanish meaning "Beautiful soul".
Other circumstances and energy make this dream come true even more exciting ... My grand friend, Benoît, has a cousin living 8km away from my home enthousiastically accepts to accomodate my SY for the next year so that I can do repairs and prepare her for my next life. Laurent is a retired industrial machinist and has many tools and tricks of the trade that will help me quite a lot.
In other words, I didn't sleep well for almost 4 months... hahaha! I woke up 2 or 3 times EVERY night to think, plan, list out things, search the web ... or just pinch myself.
With this "mistress", I have more chance of having jealous friends (men) rather than women... :-)
